Creative Writing Samples

Here are excerpts from some of the short stories I created in the last few years (the full length of each story is indicated in parenthesis). The complete stories would take up too much space. Also, there have been rumors of a disregard of copyright laws among some users of the Internet--that may just be the cynical side of my nature coming through. The truth is however, that more than one third of all the hits on this webpage are prompted by a search for Creative Writing Samples, I presume by students who would love to learn to write creatively but simply don't have the time. I might feel sorry for them. But I don't. They're just lazy.
